The FKCC Keys Chorale, under the artistic direction of Dean Walters, will begin its 22nd season with its annual Holiday Concert on Friday night, December 9, at 8pm, at the Tennessee Williams Theatre.
This year’s Holiday Concert will feature the Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi. The second half will feature more traditional holiday music such as Little Drummer Boy, The First Noel, and Sleigh Ride.
Accompaniment will be provided by Jim Cutty on piano, Linda Sparks on piano and oboe, Ken Chopcinskik on bass, and Dave Parker on percussion. Soloists include Ginny Barr, Heather Carruthers, Libby Curtis, Natalie Herndon, Alison Heymann, and Sandy Walters.
The Keys Chorale was introduced into the Florida Keys Community College’s curriculum in January 1990, and now numbers 60-80 singers in full season. It is a true microcosm of the Keys population and represents multifaceted talents, backgrounds and interests.
