Here are KWTN’s Election Picks: CATES, YANIZ, BARROSO AND BRADFORD

For years, it was traditional for newspapers that endorse political candidates to wait until just before election day to announce their political picks. But with the introduction of early voting and the increased use of absentee ballots, the waituntil- the-last-minute policy is passe.
Early voting starts this coming Monday, September 19.
So, ready or not, here are our political picks:
• MAYOR. We recommend a vote to re-elect Craig Cates for mayor. In our opinion, he is the best mayor we have had in years and Key Westers are fortunate that he is willing to run again. Mayor Cates is being opposed by Margaret Romero and Carie Noda— and we thank them for making the mayor’s race an actual race.
